Why does mobile grooming cost more?

We bring a full-service grooming experience directly to you. This saves you time and reduces stress for your dog by providing one-on-one care in a calm, controlled environment.

While mobile grooming isn’t for everyone, many clients find the convenience and comfort well worth the investment.

Do I need to be present?

Only for the first appointment. This allows us to meet you and your dog, review any care instructions, and ensure everything is set up properly.

After that, we can typically work independently with clear instructions and access.

Pricing Philosophy

How does Dat Pooch determine pricing?

Our pricing is based on the amount of work required. That is not always easily determined by a simple chart of breed and size alone.

When you provide your information to us, we work to give a realistic quote—avoiding both undercharging and overcharging. Either situation is bad for both the customer and the business.

We receive calls every day from customers whose previous groomer undercharged and then avoided future appointments rather than correct the pricing.

That is not how we operate. We focus on accurate pricing that reflects the job at hand.
